BOSSIER CITY, La. -- Centenary shot a final round score of 314 to finish 10th in the Hal Sutton Intercollegiate Tuesday. Played at the Golf Club at StoneBridge, the Gents finished with a team score of 940 in the three-round event.

Senior David Viviano (Lafayette, La.), playing in his final regular season tournament of his collegiate career, led Centenary in the final round with a 3-over 75 to finish in a tie for 19th. Over the two-day tournament, Viviano finished with a combined score of 226 (78-73-75) to lead the Gents for the third time this season in StoneBridge events.

Freshman Tyler Williams (Shreveport) shot his best round of the tournament in Tuesday’s final round, carding a 78 to stand tied for 44th in the final standings. Williams had a tournament score of 238 (79-81-78).

In a tie for 51st in the Hal Sutton Intercollegiate, sophomore John Hogan (Eden Praire, Minn.) struggled in Tuesday’s final round, shooting an 89 for a tournament score of 242 (76-77-89).

Freshman Mark Weeber (Harare, Zimbabwe) finished with a tournament score of 243, shooting an 81 Tuesday, while fellow-freshman Nick Faitz (North Little Rock, Ark.) had his best round in the tournament in the final round with an 80. Weeber and Faitz finished 55th and 60th, respectively.

In the final round, both Williams and Faitz shot their best 18-hole scores for the tournament.

Louisiana Tech took the tournament crown over Louisiana-Lafayette in a playoff. Both tied with 879 after 54 holes, Tech won the tournament on the first playoff hole, led in the event by Trey McNeill’s (216) 5th place finish.

Finishing third in the tournament was Birmingham-Southern. Individual champion Robert Lindstrom led the Panthers over the two days, finishing the event with a 1-under 71 Tuesday. Over 54 holes, Lindstrom finished with a 7-under 209 (71-67-71) to win the event.

As StoneBridge will play host to the 2007 Mid-Continent Conference Championships April 23-24, UMKC led all Mid-Con teams with a fourth place finish (888), followed by fifth place Oral Roberts (896) and seventh place Oakland (911).

The Gents now take three weeks off to prepare for the Mid-Con Championships.
