MONROE—Centenary basketball player Alexander Starr has been selected by the Louisiana Sports Writers Association (LSWA) as a member of the All-Louisiana Team. Starr was named as a second team honoree after being chosen as a first team All-Mid-Continent Conference performer as well.

Starr (Dallas, Texas) finished the Mid-Con regular season as the league’s second leading scorer at 17.1 ppg and also placed in the top five in rebounding. The 6’5” guard/forward combo stepped up his scoring production in his final year in a Centenary uniform and scored 20 or more points in his final five games. He also led the Gents in three-point field goal percentage, free throws made and attempted, free throw percentage, offensive and defensive rebounds, and total rebounds. In addition, the well-rounded player placed second on the team in assists and steals.
