Centenary Baseball Announces Summer Camp Schedule

Centenary will host three sessions
of the summer camp in June

SHREVEPORT, La. -- Centenary announces the dates and times for the 2007 Centenary Baseball Summer Camp.

 

Held at Shehee Stadium, located on the Centenary College campus, all camps are open to boys and girls ages 6-13.

 

Supervised and instructed by current and former Centenary baseball players, in addition to all members of the Centenary baseball coaching staff, the summer camp will emphasize individual skills, fundamentals and beginning team strategy.

 

Areas covered during the four-day camps will include outfield play, infield play, pitching, rundowns, base running, sliding, double-plays, along with various other aspects of fundamental baseball.

Centenary provides all-weather batting cages and pitching machines to campers, allowing players to be able to hit each day.

 

The camps will have three sessions throughout the month of June:

 

Session I: June 4-7, 2007

Time: 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Boys & Girls: Ages 6-13

 

Session II: June 11-14, 2007

Time: 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Boys & Girls: Ages 6-13

 

Session III: June 18-21, 2007

Time: 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Boys & Girls: Ages 6-13

 

All camps run from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Campers are expected to bring a glove, baseball shoes, suitable baseball attire and a great attitude.

 

The cost per camp session is $175, with lunch and a team t-shirt provided to each camper.
