SHREVEPORT - The Centenary men's and women's soccer coaches have announced the days for their 24th annual camp. The soccer camps will begin on June 2 and will conclude on July 31 for ages 5-18.

RUSTON, La. - In its second spring tournament of 2008, the Centenary women's soccer team tied Louisiana-Monroe, 0-0, and fell to Louisiana Tech, 1-0, on Wednesday afternoon.

SHREVEPORT - The Centenary women's soccer teams spring season got off to a bang at the seven versus seven Louisiana-Monroe Tournament last weekend.

SHREVEPORT - On April 12th the Centenary women's soccer team and coaches will welcome back alumni for an indoor tournament. The tournament will be at the Shreveport Indoor Soccer Center and it will be against local collegiate teams.

SHREVEPORT - The 2008 season officially got under way on Thursday for the Centenary women's soccer team, as head coach Chase Wooten announced the signing of eight student-athletes to a National Letter of Intent for the fall campaign.

SHREVEPORT - After making 90 saves as a senior for the Centenary women's soccer team, Ali Hilsher was named to the LSWA (Louisiana Sports Writers Association) honorable mention team. The voting was done by members of the media and sports information directors from across the state.

ELMHURST, Ill. - On Thursday it was announced by the Summit League offices, Centenary women's soccer freshman defender Catie Depew was named to the All-Newcomer Team, as voted on by the league coaches. Depew was one of three defenders to be given the honor this season.

SHREVEPORT - The Western Illinois women's soccer team moved one step closer to completing the Summit League portion of their schedule undefeated by downing Centenary 2-0 on Mayo Field Friday night. With the win, the Westerwinds improved to 7-0 in conference play with a single match remaining on Sunday at Oral Roberts. The loss wrapped up the Ladies season as they will begin to look towards next year.

SHREVEPORT - For Centenary seniors Cori Dullnig, Bre Fletcher and Ali Hilsher Friday's match against Western Illinois will mark the end of their collegiate careers. The three seniors have combined to win 29 games in four years, and they have also put their names in several categories in the Centenary record book.

SHREVEPORT - The tough luck continues for the Centenary women's soccer team as it lost to North Dakota State 3-0 on Sunday afternoon in Summit League play. The Ladies offense produced seven shots, while the defense was anchored by senior Ali Hilsher, who made six saves.

SHREVEPORT - It is down to the final two weeks of the regular season and the Centenary (5-10-1, 0-4-1) women's soccer team is facing a must-win situation this weekend. The Ladies host South Dakota State (6-4-3, 4-1-1) on Friday at 7 p.m. and North Dakota State (10-6-0, 2-3-0) on Sunday at 1 p.m., and if they want to get into the Summit League Tournament, they have to sweep a pair of conference newcomers.

SHREVEPORT - In the 80th minute of action the Centenary (5-10-1) women's soccer team got all it needed with a goal by senior Bre Fletcher. The Ladies defeated a tough Mississippi Valley State Devilettes (7-6-1) team 1-0 on Thursday afternoon.

SHREVEPORT - Looking to get back in the win column on Thursday, the Centenary women's soccer team will host Mississippi Valley State for the first of four straight home matches. The Ladies (4-10-1) come into the match on a three game skid, but they won their only meeting with the Delta Devilettes back in 2003, 5-1.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Sophomore Stefani Robbs scored in the 73rd minute on Sunday for the Centenary (4-10-1, 0-4-1) women's soccer team, but it was not enough as the Ladies fell to IUPUI (2-9-3, 1-3-1) 2-1. For Robbs it was her fourth goal of the season, which is just one off her season total from a year ago.

ROCHESTER, Mich. - A goal in the third minute by Oakland (5-6-1, 4-2-0) was all it needed as the Centenary (4-8-1, 0-2-1) women's soccer team fell 1-0 on Sunday afternoon in Summit League action. The Ladies were led offensively by freshman Candace Rushing, who had three of the teams' six shots.

SHREVEPORT - Freshman Catie Depew scored her first career goal for the Centenary (4-7-1, 0-1-1) women's soccer team, and it perhaps could have been the biggest of her collegiate life in the 1-1 tie on Tuesday night against Southern Utah (1-3-5, 0-1-3). In the 47th minute of play, Depew headed a ball off the foot of sophomore Kristine Weaver, and it just got past the Thunderbird keeper.

BATON ROUGE, La. - After scoring two goals and giving off a pair of assists against Nicholls State on Friday, Centenary women's soccer sophomore Brittany Brooke O'Neal was named Louisiana Sports Writers Association Offensive Player of the Week. However, O'Neal could not find the back of the net on Sunday at Oral Roberts, but she still had four shots and three on goal.

TULSA, Okla. - In the first Summit League action of 2007 for the Centenary (4-7-0) women's soccer team, the Ladies fell to Oral Roberts (6-4-1) 1-0 on Sunday. Centenary had prime chances to score in the second period, but two of their seven shots went high and wide.

SHREVEPORT - After a scoreless 90 minutes, the Centenary and Arkansas women's soccer teams went into overtime. Just over five minutes into the extra time, Lady Razorbacks midfielder Kathleen Paulsen netted the 1-0 winning goal just out of the reach of Ladies goalkeeper Ali Hilsher.

ELMHURST, Ill. - After consecutive shutouts on Friday and Sunday, senior goalkeeper Ali Hilsher earned The Summit League Defensive Player of Week award. Hilsher held a 2-1 record last week, made 16 saves and had a .889 save percentage.

GRAMBLING, La. - For the second time this weekend the Centenary women's soccer team shutout an opponent. This time the Ladies defense held tough and helped defeat Grambling State 2-0 on Sunday. For Centenary this was the first time since 2004 it had two shutouts in back-to-back matches.

SHREVEPORT - After a 1-2 record to start the season, the Centenary women's soccer team looks to rebound today when it hosts Texas State at 7 p.m. On Sunday the Ladies will head east on I-20 to play Grambling State at 2 p.m. The Bobcats come into tonight's contest 0-3, and have yet to score a goal. The Tigers are 2-1 in 2007, and play at Louisiana-Lafayette tonight.

MONROE, La. - For the first time in 2007 the Centenary women's soccer team was shutout, dropping its match to Louisiana-Monroe 2-0 on Wednesday evening. The Ladies and Warhawks each had four shots on goal, while Monore had 12 overall and Centenary could only muster up five total shots.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - With her first collegiate goal in the 72nd minute, Centenary women's soccer freshman Jennifer Hopkins (Lafayette, La.) tied the match at one, but just over six minutes later Arkansas-Little Rock's Leanne Mihelich hit her second goal of the afternoon to give the Trojans a 2-1 victory on Sunday.

On Friday night the Centenary women's soccer team fell down 1-0 in the 29th minute of action to Arkansas State, but just right before the half sophomore Brittany O'Neal (Nacogdoches, Texas) shifted the momentum back toward Centenary's way when she hit pay dirt to tie the match. Then nearing the midway point of the second half, sophomore Stefani Robbs (Farmers Branch, Texas) netted her first goal of the season to break the tie and give the Ladies the 2-1 victory.

To open the 2007 season, the Centenary women's soccer team travels to the Natural State to play Arkansas State on Friday and Arkansas-Little Rock on Sunday. The Ladies are coming off of a 4-11-1 season, and a conference record that saw them miss the tournament by a mere two and a half games. Centenary also returns their leading scorer from 2006, sophomore Stefani Robbs (Farmers Branch, Texas), who was named to the Mid-Con's All-Newcomer Team and also earned conference Offensive Player of the Week on Aug. 28.
