Leading Ladies Danceline

Keeley Pratt once again leads Centenary’s performance group during the 2006-07 basketball season. Pratt is the sponsor of the Leading Ladies danceline after serving as a captain and member of the group for two years until graduating from Centenary in 2001. The Leading Ladies perform at all home basketball games and travel to the Summit League Basketball Tournament in March every year.

Pratt has worked hard to improve both the enjoyment shared by the crowd through quality halftime performances and the enjoyment of Leading Ladies members themselves through various team-building projects. For example, for the past three summers the squad has taken part in a summer camp provided by Dallas-area choreographer Kendra Kelley. The Ladies learned several new routines to be unveiled this season and received valuable instruction on technique.

As sponsor, Pratt hopes to continue the long-standing tradition that is the Centenary Danceline by getting alumni more involved. By sharing their knowledge and experience with current members, she seeks to bring the Leading Ladies family together to ensure its future success.

The danceline is well appreciated by the basketball teams and the student body for the many hours and hard work put into training in order to provide an exceptional atmosphere in the Gold Dome during games. The Leading Ladies truly represent what a spirit group is all about as the members receive no scholarships for their time and effort. They simply enjoy performing and cheering for the school they love, Centenary College.
