One of their losses came at the hands of Prairie View A&M, who defeated Centenary earlier in the season.

The host Central Arkansas Sugar Bears are enjoying a fine season thus far as they come into their own tournament with a perfect 8-0 mark. Arkansas State is 1-5 with its sole win coming over San Jose State in four games. The Indians losses came at the hands of Jacksonville State, Missouri, Ole Miss, Murray State, and Centenary-rival Northwestern State. Mafo Joelle and Robin Aaron pace the ASU offense with 78 kills and 75 kills respectively.
