GRAMBLING, La.—The Centenary volleyball team lost two close games in its match at Grambling on Tuesday, falling 3-0 (30-28, 30-17, 31-29). With the win, the Tigers swept the season series over the Ladies 2-0.

Centenary (1-16) never trailed by many points throughout the entire match, but never found a rhythm either. The Ladies led briefly in the final game of the evening, but four costly service errors down the stretch spelled defeat for the Maroon and White in the end.

Grambling (10-9) seemed to have a spring in its step playing in front of its home crowd. The Tigers came up big with several key digs and Talon Morgan steered the offense skillfully. Morgan finished with 35 assists, but also tallied seven kills without a hitting error over 11 attempts.

The Tigers hit at a .237 clip compared to .170 for Centenary. Sonora Armstrong put down 10 kills for GSU in the victory.

Ashlee Freeman collected a match-high 11 kills in the loss for the Ladies. Danielle Bochat added nine kills on the night and Lindsay Bekelja finished with 35 assists.

Centenary will travel for a pair of Summit League contests this weekend. The Ladies take on UMKC in Kansas City, Mo., on Friday before locking up with Western Illinois on Saturday in Macomb, Ill. Both matches are scheduled for a 7 p.m. first serve.
