BATON ROUGE, La. – After scoring two goals and giving off a pair of assists against Nicholls State on Friday, Centenary women’s soccer sophomore Brittany Brooke O’Neal was named Louisiana Sports Writers Association Offensive Player of the Week. However, O’Neal could not find the back of the net on Sunday at Oral Roberts, but she still had four shots and three on goal.

In Friday’s 4-1 win over Nicholls, O’Neal had six shots, while landing four on goal. O’Neal had a chance to tie the match late against conference foe ORU, but one of her shots bounced off of the goalkeeper, and the Ladies lost 1-0.

This was the first time in her collegiate career the Nacogodoches, Texas, native scored two goals and gave two assists in a match. O’Neal leads the team in goals (6), assists (3) and points (15), while topping the Summit League in points per game (1.50).

The Ladies will be back in action on Wednesday when they host conference rival Southern Utah at 7 p.m.
