Centenary Tennis Courts Get New Look
Tuesday, February 26, 2008

SHREVEPORT—The Centenary Tennis Complex will see its first match action of the 2008 season on March 11th when the Ladies and Gents host Grambling at 2 p.m. However, one noticeable difference will stand out to players and fans alike when they arrive to the courts that day. The tennis courts have been resurfaced and have a brand new look.

Over the course of about a month in December and January, while battling less than desired weather conditions, Center Court out of Baton Rouge applied the new surface and re-lined the tennis courts. The courts were stripped of all their netting and wind screens while the process took place.

The result is a first-class set of courts that both the Ladies and Gents tennis teams can be proud to call home. Funds for the project were generously provided by the C Club, Centenary’s official athletics booster club.

“This is a testament to what the committed support of our donors can accomplish,” said Centenary Director of Athletics Dr. Tom Tallach. “We certainly thank the C Club for all they have done, and will continue to do, for Centenary Athletics.”
