Gents Struggle in Round-Two

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – After a good first round the Centenary (324-352, 676) men’s golf team fell off the pace during round-two on Monday afternoon. The Gents are now 85 strokes behind Sam Houston State, who is leading UALR/First Tee Collegiate with a 591.

 

Freshman Greg Berthelot (79-83,162) continues to lead Centenary, but is 19 strokes behind Beau Willis of SHSU for first. Gents Sophomore Mark Weeber (80-86, 166) is tied for 70th, but is only four strokes behind Berthelot.

 

Rounding out the Centenary four-some is freshmen Ryan Sparks and Diego Martin-Perez, who are in 77th and 79th place. Sparks (81-92) is shooting a two-round score of 173, while Martin-Perez (84-91) is just two back with a 175.

 

The final round will be completed on Tuesday.
