SHREVEPORT - A pair from Denison, Texas, have signed a National Letter of Intent to play soccer for the Centenary men's soccer team this fall. Aaron Bergman and Shaun Coogan will join Connor Adams, Jihad Elaydi, Micah Goodwin, Kyle Kling, Tate McIntyre, Kyle Mehnert, John McHugh, Marcos Rodriguez, Jude Stewart, Ben Barcelona and Seth Prochaska, who will be eligible to play this coming season.

SHREVEPORT - Three more incoming freshman have agreed to play for the Centenary men's soccer team this fall, including one local product. Head coach David Orr has signed Connor Adams (Frisco, Texas), Micah Goodwin (Shreveport) and Kyle Kling to a National Letter of Intent.

SHREVEPORT - Continuing the reconstruction of the Centenary men's soccer team, head coach David Orr has announced the signing of Marcos Rodriguez of Mineola, Texas, to a National Letter of Intent. Rodriguez becomes the eighth to sign, joining Jihad Elaydi, Tate McIntyre, Kyle Mehnert, John McHugh, Jude Stewart, Ben Barcelona and Seth Prochaska.

SHREVEPORT - The Centenary men's soccer team and head coach David Orr will welcome three more for the 2008 season. The Gents signed Jihad Elaydi, Tate McIntyre and Kyle Mehnert to a National Letter of Intent and all three are eligible to play this fall.

SHREVEPORT - The Centenary men's soccer team and head coach David Orr have announced the signing of John McHugh of Keller, Texas. McHugh joins Jude Stewart, Ben Barcelona and Seth Prochaska, who have all signed earlier in the spring.

SHREVEPORT - The Centenary men's soccer team and head coach David Orr have announced that goalkeeper Jude Stewart of Catholic High School Baton Rouge will be apart of the team in 2008. Stewart will join Ben Barcelona and Seth Prochaska, who signed earlier in the spring.

SHREVEPORT - The Centenary men's soccer team and head coach David Orr have announced the signing of Ben Barcelona from Parkway High School. This is the second student-athlete the Gents have signed for 2008, joining Seth Prochaska -- both will be eligible to play in the fall.

SHREVEPORT - The Centenary men's and women's soccer coaches have announced the days for their 24th annual camp. The soccer camps will begin on June 2 and will conclude on July 31 for ages 5-18.

SHREVEPORT - Centenary Athletic Director Dr. Tom Tallach has announced the hiring of David Orr as head coach of the men's soccer program. Orr is a Centenary alum that both played for the Gents soccer team and served as an assistant coach for four seasons from 1999-2002.

SHREVEPORT - After spending the last four seasons as head coach of the Centenary men's soccer team, Eric Mayo has announced his resignation effective on Friday, Jan. 4, in order to pursue other opportunities.

ELMHURST, Ill. - After topping the Summit League in points per game, goals and goals per game, Centenary senior forward Aaron Volanski was named first team all-conference. Joining Volanski were freshmen Josh Gomillion and Keegan Walhood, who were voted to the All-Newcomer Team.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - In a must win situation for the Centenary men's soccer team it fell to UMKC on Saturday afternoon 3-0. UMKC killed the Gents dreams of making the Summit League Tournament in the 5th minute when it scored its first of three goals on a free kick.

MACOMB, Ill. - The Centenary (3-11-0, 2-3-0) and Western Illinois (5-8-3, 1-2-1) men's soccer teams played to a scoreless first 70 minutes, but in the final 20 WIU pulled away with goals in the 71st and 75th minutes to win 2-0 on Saturday afternoon.

SHREVEPORT - With the end of the regular season coming quickly, the Centenary (3-10-0, 2-2-0) men's soccer team looks to punch its ticket for the Summit League Tournament with a win over Western Illinois (4-8-3, 0-2-1) on Saturday. However, the Gents still need a little help to get in, as they will hope for UMKC to beat Oral Roberts on Saturday to lock-up one of the final two spots.

TULSA, Okla. - Playing in its final nonconference game of 2007, the Centenary (3-10) men's soccer team was downed on Thursday night by the seventh ranked Tulsa Golden Hurricane (9-2-2) 9-0. The Gents will now focus on their next opponent, Summit League rival Western Illinois on Saturday, as they try to make a bid for the conference tournament.

ELMHURST, Ill. - After nailing the match-winning goal late in the first half on Friday against Oral Roberts, redshirt freshman Mo Assi was named Summit League Defensive Player of the Week. Along with his goal, Assi also helped the Gents with their third shutout of the season, and they also held the Golden Eagles to only three shots.

SHREVEPORT - Friday will be the last time the Centenary men's soccer team will appear at home in 2007. The Gents close out their home schedule against Oral Roberts at 7 p.m. with 'Senior Day' festivities for five of the student-athletes taking place prior to the match.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Centenary (1-8-0) men's soccer team had three shots on goal on Saturday, but it was not enough as it fell to Memphis (5-1-2) 5-0. Sophomore Todd Faulkinberry and freshmen Josh Armstrong and Dragan Hinic each put a ball on goal to help lead the Gents offense.

SHREVEPORT - After a heartbreaking 4-3 loss to IUPUI on Sunday, the Centenary men's soccer team looks to bounce back on Saturday as it travels to Memphis. The Gents are looking for their first win in four matches after posting a 2-0 shutout victory over Belhaven on Sept. 12.

SHREVEPORT - Junior captain Aaron Volanski scored three goals against IUPUI on Sunday afternoon in Summit League action. However, the Gents fell to the Jaguars 4-3, despite getting a lead with just under eight minutes remaining in the match.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - The Centenary men's soccer team had its opportunities to put more shots away on Missouri State, as the Gents had eight shots on goal and the Bears put seven on. However, Centenary could not find the back of the net more than once as the Gents were downed 4-1 on Saturday. Freshman Josh Gomillion (Arlington, Texas) and junior Aaron Volanski (Magnolia, Texas) led Centenary with two shots on goal, as one of Gomillion's shots also found the back of the net.

In a defensive struggle on Friday night between Central Arkansas and the Centenary men's soccer team, the Bears just edged the Gents 2-1. UCA scored in the 10th minute of play and again in the 63rd minute before Centenary could get on the board via Aaron Volanski's (Magnolia, Texas) goal during the 66th minute of action.

The Gents return three all-conference honorees from last season, junior forward Aaron Volanski (Magnolia, Texas), sophomore forward Sam Robinson (Houston, Texas) and fellow classmate, midfielder Todd Faulkinberry (Bossier City, La).
