SHREVEPORT - The Centenary Women's soccer team will conclude a successful spring 2009 campaign with two full-length matches this week. The Ladies will take on TJC on Tuesday and La Tech on Wednesday.

ATLANTA, Ga. - The Centenary softball team picked up a pair of wins during the second day of competition at the Georgia Tech Buzz Classic on Saturday. The Ladies were victorious over Winthrop 9-2 and then edged Akron 2-1

SHREVEPORT - The Centenary Ladies soccer team welcomes a very talented 2009 recruiting class. These incoming freshmen will provide the Ladies with some much needed depth and contribute to the quest for a successful season in 2009.

SHREVEPORT - Freshman Chelsea Granger and sophomore Candace Rushing each had two shots on goal to help the Centenary women's soccer team offense, but none of the four would find the back of the net in the 2-0 loss to Summit League foe IUPUI on Sunday afternoon.

SHREVEPORT - Freshman Katie Valdez hit paydirt from inside 10 yards in the second overtime to lift the Centenary women's soccer team to a 1-0 victory over IPFW in Summit League play. It was the Ladies' first win in conference play since a 1-0 victory over IUPUI back in 2005.

SHREVEPORT - With Hurricane Ike altering the schedules of Centenary and the 12th ranked LSU's women's soccer teams, both coaches agreed to play Sunday in Baton Rouge at 1 p.m. The Ladies were supposed to play at Texas State and Houston Baptist, while LSU was scheduled to play at Louisiana-Lafayette and host Houston.

SHREVEPORT - After playing two straight road matches to open the season, the Centenary women's soccer team will begin a three-match homestand on Friday against Arkansas State at 7 p.m. and continuing it on Sunday hosting Arkansas-Little at 1 p.m. The homestand will conclude on Tuesday when Louisiana-Monroe travels west on I-20 for a 7 p.m. kick-off.

ITTA BENA, Miss. - A first half goal by freshman Chelsea Granger put the Centenary (1-0) women's soccer team up for good and it never looked back. The Ladies defeated Mississippi Valley State on Sunday afternoon, 2-0, while being hammered by strong winds and downpours from Hurricane Fay.
