Gents Fall to UTA

ARLINGTON, Texas – The Centenary men’s tennis team had a tough day against UTA on Tuesday falling, 7-0.


The doubles teams of Jules Bourgon and Seva Kostelantz, and John Callen and Matt Shoptaugh were both able to win two sets, but the duos still fell 8-2. 


In singles action, Shoptaugh was a top performer but still fell 6-2, 6-4. Evan Magill fell 6-1, 6-1, Bourgon also dropped his contest 6-0, 6-0, Jacob Dawson lost 6-1, 6-0, and Callen fell 6-1, 6-0 to round out the Gents’ afternoon.


Centenary’s next action will be on March 27 in Tulsa as they continue conference play with matches against Western Illinois and Oral Roberts
