Gents Wrap Up Season With Battle at St. Edwards

Austin TX - The Centenary College Gents lacrosse team wrapped up their first season in the MCLA with a hard fought 13-7 loss to St. Edwards on Sunday afternoon.  The Gents showed their improvment from the first practice by taking a 2-0 lead late into the first quarter.  The Hilltoppers of St. Ed's had a balanced attack and after their short start scored 4 goals a piece in each of the last three quarters. 

Rob Grand who spent most of the season on the field at midfield, led the Gents with 3 goals and 1 assist.  GoalieDaniel Ewing made 22 saves in the loss. 

With the level of improvement, the Gents are already optimistic for next years expanded schedule with the valuable experience gained in the innaugural short season.

The team as a whole would like to thank their fans and supporters who are so important to their development and the great experience and priveledge to be a part of the first Gents team to compete in the Men's College Lacrosse Association.
