Gents Tennis Falls Just Short Against SDSU

TULSA, Ok—The Centenary men’s tennis team battled hard against SDSU but fell just short, losing by a score of 4-2 Saturday morning.


Playing strong for the Gents were Evan Magill and Jacob Dawson. Magill defeated SDSU’s Michael Engdahl in straight 7-6 games, while Dawson beat Alex Lauseng 6-2 and 6-1. After falling 6-2 to Corey Paluch, Jules Bourgon was able to grab a 6-4 game win before being defeated in the third game 6-2. Matt Shoptaugh fell in straight 6-4 games, while Seva Kostelanetz fell in straight 6-2 games and John Reeks was defeated 7-6 and 6-0.


The Gents will return to conference action Sunday morning when they take on IUPUI at 9 am.
