Gents in 14th After Two Rounds

JONESBORO, Ark.—After completing the first two rounds of the Arkansas State Red Wolf Classic, the Centenary men’s golf team is in 14th place with a total team score of 630.


The Gents are currently trailing Texas Pan American by seven strokes and are 49 shots behind first place, Oral Roberts and Arkansas State each with a 581.


Pacing Centenary after 36 holes are senior John Hogan (80-78) and sophomore Ryan Sparks (81-77) who are each tied for 68th with a total of 158 after day one.


Tied for 72nd with a two-round score of 159 are juniors Mark Weeber (75-84) and Tyler Williams (82-77), while classmate Nick Faitz (80-82) sits in 81st with a 162.


Arkansas State’s Tyler Thompson (71-67) is in first with a 138 heading into the final round.


The Gents will play the final 18 holes of the tournament on Tuesday.
