2009-10 Schedule

SHREVEPORT – The Centenary women’s basketball team will play 29 games in the upcoming 2009-10 season with 12 home contests, while being on the road for 17. The Ladies’ schedule will be highlighted with trips to Louisiana Tech, Louisiana State and Ole Miss.

Centenary will open the season at La. Tech on Nov. 13 and two days later it will go south to play LSU. The Ladies will then come home to host Grambling on Nov. 17 and Sam Houston State on Nov. 20.

The longest homestand for Centenary will be three games between Dec. 1 and Dec. 7 when Northwestern State, UMKC and Southern Utah come to the Gold Dome. Later in the season the Ladies will also play three straight games at home against Oral Roberts, North Dakota State and South Dakota State.

However, Centenary will be on the road for nearly a month when it plays six games away from the Gold Dome starting on Dec. 9 at Nicholls State before ending on Jan. 4 at North Dakota State. During that stretch of games the Ladies will also play Mississippi on Dec. 29.

“I believe this will be a great schedule for us,” said Interim head coach Bojan Jankovic. “We play two Louisiana power houses, Louisiana Tech and LSU and that will be great preparation for our season. We will also play Ole Miss before we open our conference schedule. I am pleased that our girls will have chance to play high level competition and I believe we will have a great season.”

All games will be available on www.GoCentenary.com with a selected number of games being broadcast on 91.3 KSCL.
