Centenary Coach Playing Well for New England Riptide
![]() Angus will begin her third season on the Centenary staff in August, but is already in her fifth season with the Riptide. She is currently tied for second in the league with a .355 batting average and a .540 on-base percentage after going 2-for-2 with a homerun and three RBI in a big win over the Akron Racers. She also sits in the top 15 in RBI. Success in the NPF is nothing new to Angus who was named the National Pro Fastpitch Player of the Year in 2006 after batting .345 with 23 RBI and three home runs. She was instrumental in helping the Riptide win the league championship that season, capping it off by scoring the winning run in extra innings in the semifinals. With Angus posting such lofty offensive numbers in the NPF and having been a three-time SEC All-Conference performer at “What’s so amazing about Lyndsey is not only that she can hit at such a high level, but that she teaches hitting at that same high level,” said Angus will finish her season with the Riptide in late August and will return to Centenary in time for the first day of classes on August 25th. |
