Ladies Hit a Snag in Round 2

TULSA, Okla. – After a competitive first round, the Centenary women’s golf team struggled in round two on Monday at the Bob Hurley Auto ORU Shootout. The Ladies (323-333,656) are tied for 17th and 50 strokes behind host Oral Roberts (310-305,606).


Centenary’s leader through the second round is senior Jessica Garza (76-87, 163), who is tied for 50th and 20 strokes behind first place Christy Carter of ORU (73-70,143). Behind Garza, is junior Jessica Marquart (82-82, 164), who is tied for 57th.


Sitting just four strokes behind Garza is Tracy Williams (86-81,167) and Bethany Cox (79-88,167), who are tied for 69th place. Rounding out Centenary’s golfers is Leigh Newton (88-83,171), who finished day-one in a tie for 80th.


The final round of the ORU shootout will be on Tuesday morning.
