SHREVEPORT – Looking to shake off its three game losing skid, the Centenary women’s soccer team will try to bounce back on Friday, as the Ladies will host Summit League archrival Oral Roberts at 5 p.m.

Centenary will try to kick its offense in high gear against the Golden Eagles, as ORU allows 2.58 goals per match. The Ladies offensive threat still remains freshman Katie Valdez, who has scored four goals, while five others have hit the back of the net once.

On defense, Centenary has held its opponents to a .137 shot percentage, and keepers Kate Donnelly and Deb Hill have made combined to make 91 saves.

In goal for ORU is Amanda Wheeler, who has played in 12 games, but has given up 29 goals and has a 2.55 goals against average. Chelsea Widen and Mikella Schexnider have each played 45 minutes and allowed three goals each.

Leading the Golden Eagles offense is Natalya Manyan, who has scored six goals, while Maria Grados and Tara Lomas have each added four. Grados and Lomas, along with Lorena Soto have given off three assists.

After this weekend, Centenary will be on the road to play Western Illinois and Southern Utah, before returning back to Mayo Field for the final home matches of the season against IPFW and IUPUI.
