FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Freshman Jaclyn Lopez gave 15 assists and sophomore Bethany Kern had 18 digs in Centenary’s straight set loss to IPFW on Saturday evening in Summit League play (14-25, 23-25, 9-25).

The first set was tightly contested, but IPFW scored four straight times to give itself a cushion. The Ladies would get the game back within two off of a service error by Shannon Reuter, but couldn’t get any closer.

Centenary was able to tie the second game at 19 after a kill by Jennifer Kunze, but to end the match the Mastodons went on 6-4 run to grab the win. Freshman Brianna Kern added two kills in the set to help the Ladies offence.

IPFW began the third set on a 10-2 run, and the Ladies scored their two points on a Mastodon service error and a kill by Kinsey Mims. Late in the match Mims, Kern and Ashlee Freeman reach recorded kill in the loss for Centenary.

The Ladies will return home on Friday to play Western Illinois at 7 p.m. and close out the weekend at Oral Roberts on Sunday.
