SHREVEPORT – It’s down to the four matches of the season for the Centenary volleyball team, as the Ladies will play host to Western Illinois on Friday at 7 p.m., while traveling to Oral Roberts on Sunday afternoon.

Centenary is looking to bounce back after a disappointing road trip to Oakland and IPFW last weekend. During their previous homestand the Ladies played tough, falling in five to IUPUI and four to UMKC.

Offensively, Centenary is led by freshman Brianna Kern, who has 216 kills, while Jennifer Kunze follows with 170. Senior Ashlee Freeman, meanwhile, leads the Ladies with 67 blocks, which pushes her school record to 267.

Also moving ever so closely to the top 10 in assists is freshman Jaclyn Lopez, who has 533. Her total is just 16 away from moving into 10th all-time, while her total is now 10th all-time in a season.

Western Illinois comes into the final two weeks of the season looking for a spot in the conference tournament. The Westerwinds are 4-8 in Summit League play and need to win their final four matches punch their ticket.

Leading WIU’s offense is Monique Houston, who has 261 kills, while Erin Frick follows with 235. Helping pace the Westerwinds offense is Sarah Tripme, who has 938 assists and 136 kills.

Following this weekend’s matches, Centenary will close the season at home against North Dakota State and South Dakota State.
