This past week the Centenary men’s basketball team did something that has not been done in a long time. If you don’t already know we won three out of our last four games. The really amazing thing is that two of our wins came on the road this past weekend against IUPUI and Western Illinois, two teams that we have yet to beat on their home courts in the three years that I have been at Centenary. This is a truly exciting experience that my teammates and I are feeling.

After having a not so pleasant start to the season with being on the road for almost two months straight and playing multiple high major teams with no luck on our side, our fortunes are finally beginning to turn around. With all of the road games that we have had over the past couple of months it was finally time for us to get some wins out of town. None of our games was more exciting than out 58-56 win over IUPUI with the wining basket coming for Maxx Nakwaasah, as he tipped the ball in off of a missed shot with a fraction of a second remaining on the clock. That win gave us our first back-to-back wins in a long time, and not only that but also the fact that the wins were on the road and that they were conference games. Oh, and we made SportsCenter Top 10 for Maxx’s final tip in.

We are back home for our next 3 games and we are excited to be back and have the chance to win a few more games in front of the home crowd! Hope you have fun watching us play!
