Jankovic Named Interim Head Coach

SHREVEPORT – After serving as Centenary’s women’s basketball assistant coach for three seasons, on Tuesday it was announced by Director of Athletics Tom Tallach that Bojan Jankovic would serve as interim head coach for the 2009-10 season.

A native of Serbia, Jankovic coached the U18 team along with assisting with a professional team.  After moving to the U. S., Jankovic was a student assistant with the men’s basketball team at Texas A&M-Commerce. He helped coach the Lions to a 26-4 record and a NCAA Division II South Central Regional finals appearance in 2005.  After his time at Commerce, Jankovic assisted at the University of the Ozarks, where he helped the men’s basketball team to the most conference wins in team history (14).

Jankovic inherits a Centenary team that finished the 2008-09 campaign with a 4-25 record and a 2-16 mark in Summit League play.
