Gents Edged 1-0 by Houston Baptist

TULSA, Okla.-The Centenary men's soccer team dropped a 1-0 contest to Houston Baptist in its first game of the Golden Eagles Invitational hosted by Oral Roberts on Friday.

Centenary (0-2-1) couldn't find momentum in either half as it managed to put up only four shots on the game, while the Huskies had nine.

Houston Baptist tallied one goal at the 15:12 mark, as it was enough to edge the Gents. Huskey Duke Ogega netted goal on a double assist from Francisco Diaz and Chris Meyer.

Sophomore Brian Hurlburt put up two of the Gents' four shots, while classmate John McHugh had Centenary's only shot on goal.

Junior goalkeeper Rennie Walker was in goal the first half with one save, while freshman Robbie Ramirez played the final 45 minutes, tallying one save as well.

Centenary will be back in action on Sunday for the final match of the Golden Eagles Invitational to face UNLV at 1:00 p.m.
