Gents in Eighth After Two Rounds at ORU Shootout

BROKEN ARROW, Okla.-After two rounds of the Bob Hurley Auto ORU Shootout, the Centenary men's golf team is in eighth place with a total score of 636.

While firing a 321 in the opening round of the par-72 course, Centenary managed to cut six shots off their score for a 315 in round two.

Senior Mark Weeber currently paces the Gents in a tie for 26th with rounds of 77 and 80 for a combined score of 157, just 11 shots out of the lead.

Following Weeber is junior Cannon Earp (79-81, 160) tied for 34th. Classmate Greg Berthelot (87-76, 163) trimmed 11 shots off his opening round to finish day one, tied for 38th. Rounding out the Centenary golfers are senior Nick Faitz (78-86, 164) and sophomore Denver Green (88-78, 166) who are in 44th and tied for 46th respectively.

Leading the pack is Texas State (311-294, 605) with a two-shot lead over Missouri State (308-299, 607). In third after two rounds is Tulsa (299-313, 612).

The Gents will wrap up the tournament on Tuesday.
