ROCHESTER, Mich.-A stellar defensive effort by the Centenary women's soccer team held Oakland to a scoreless 0-0 double-overtime tie on Friday evening in Summit League play.

The Ladies (8-3-1, 0-2-1 Summit) played a competitive first half tie before finding themselves in a double over time thrill leading to a final 0-0 stalemate.

Senior goalie Kate Donnelly was unstoppable in goal, making 19 saves on 20 Oakland shots on goal.

The Golden Grizzlies had a chance to take over with a penalty shot, but it was blocked by a Centenary defender near the goal.

The Ladies fired off four total shots, none reaching the on-goal mark. Junior Emily McManus had two Centenary shots, while sophomore Katie Valdez and freshman Kelly Fossard had one each.

Oakland sent 32 shots off as Deanna Colarossi had eight with seven on goal to lead the Golden Grizzlies.

The Ladies will be back in action on Sunday at IPFW in a 1:00 p.m. start.
