Ladies Soccer Wraps Up Season on Road

SHREVEPORT-With an impressive 5-0 start to its season, the Centenary women's soccer team will wrap up Summit League play on the road this weekend.

The Ladies (9-5-1, 1-4-1 Summit) will first head to Southern Utah for a 4:00 pm match on Thursday against the Thunderbirds. They will then travel to UMKC to face the Kangaroos on Saturday at 3:00 pm.

On Monday, North Dakota State will meet Centenary at 10:00 am in Kansas City to play its rescheduled match from the rainout at home back in early October.

Centenary enters the weekend matches having dropped its last two contests against Western Illinois and IUPUI at home. Despite having a 1-4-1 record in league play, the Ladies have outscored their opponents, 30-22, on the season and have garnered a .529 shot on goal percentage.

Sophomore forward Katie Valdez paces Centenary with seven goals and nine assists for 23 points. Classmate Chelsea Granger follows her with five goals and two assists for 12 points. Freshman Allison Rucinski has netted four goals, while newcomers Morgan Ulliman and Courtney Morris have three.

Senior keeper Kate Donnelly has made 61 saves for a .871 save percentage in goal. She currently is 4-2-1, while sophomore Deb Hill is 5-3-0 with 49 saves and a .790 save percentage.

The Ladies will look to even its league mark and finish at .500 (4-4-1) after the three weekend matches.
