Fort Worth, TX - Always a scene for NASCAR races, the Texas Motor Speedway hosted another type of race when the Bronda's Duathlon took over the spotlight on a cool, cloudy day in November. Five members of the Centenary Cycling & Multi-Sport Club participated with two of them doing their first ever multi-sport event. The race consisted of two 2-mile runs in the infield of the speedway along with a 16.5 mile bike that left the infield to make three laps around the outside of the venue, then back in again. During the race, several NASCAR cars were doing training laps which made for an interesting atmosphere!

Jonathan Martin had the fastest time of the Centenary racers with a 1:14:01.7 (33rd overall) but it was only good enough for fifth place in the Men's 20-24 age group. Christopher Patterson took third place in the Men's 16-19 age group registering a 1:20:10.9 in his first ever USAT race!

Jacquelyn Batson garnered a third place in her 20-24 age group in a time of 1:21:59.8 (14th woman overall) while Chelsea Lilesgot 8th place in the same age group with a 1:40:24.3. Rebekah Bogdanoff took fourth place in the Women's 16-19 age group in her first multi-sport race with a time of 1:48:14.5.
