Centenary will take on I-20 in-state rival, ULM, on Friday at 7:00 pm in the Gold Dome after a week off from play.

LAST TIME OUT
SHREVEPORT-In its home opener, the Centenary men's basketball team took control of Texas College from the early going, defeating the Steers 95-76 on Thursday evening in the Gold Dome. The Gents (2-1) were in control of the Steers (3-2) from the beginning, recording several career-high performances, while four players notched double figure scoring.

CAPTURING CAREER HIGHS
It was a career-night against Texas College as redshirt freshman Daman Starring scored a game-best 27 points on 9-of-13 from the field, 3-of-5 from deep and 6-of-6 from the line in his first home game of his career. Also, performing to a career-high standard was junior Roman Tubner, who contributed with 18 points on 4-of-9 from the floor and 10-of-12 from the charity stripe.

BONHAM BLOCKS INTO BOOKS
Senior forward Jerrald Bonham is three blocks away from jumping into the record books. He currently has 44 blocks and needs 47 to break the into the top 10 all time. The Plano, Texas native is coming off a 17-block season just last year and one against Texas College.

"PERFECT" PEREZ?
Not only has sophomore David Perez scored at least 20-points in the first three games (Marquette-25), (Grambling-25), and (Texas College-21) this season, he his currently a perfect 16-of-16 from the free throw line, having shot the second most charity shots on the team behind Tubner with 23.

SHOOTING SHINES
Centenary posted strong offensive numbers in its last win over Texas College. The game found four Gents in double figures led by Starring (27). Following him were Perez (21), Tubner (18) and Maxx Nakwaasah (12). As a team, Centenary shot 48 percent (30-of-63) from the floor, the best of the year. The Gents also connected on 30-of its 36 free throw attempts for 83 percent. That game marked the first time the Gents reached 90 points since head coach Greg Gary took over the program a year ago.

SCOUTING ULM
ULM enters Friday's contest with a 3-2 overall record, having dropped its only two games to LSU (82-62) and Oklahoma (72-61). The Warhawks earned a home opening win over Grambling on Tuesday night (76-66) in its last contest. Tony Hooper (13.8 ppg) leads ULM offensively with 12-of-24 three-pointers made, while Lawrence Gilbert (12.2 ppg) and Dynile Forbes (11.0 ppg) each chip in with double figures.

SERIES VS ULM
Centenary leads the all-time series against ULM, 18-13 since 1951. Surprisingly, the two teams haven't met since the 2004-05 season when the Gents won an 84-82 overtime thriller in the Gold Dome. Neither coach has faced one another since their arrival.
