MONDAY, NOV. 30 - GOLD DOME - 7:00 PM

After coming off an impressive 10-point victory on Friday over ULM, the Centenary men's basketball team will host Northwestern State in the Gold Dome on Monday at 7:00 pm.

SERIES: Centenary leads 83-70 all-time (1921-2008)
Last meeting: Northwestern State 90, Centenary 84 OT (12-1-08)

LAST TIME OUT
SHREVEPORT-A dominant and consistent showing by the Centenary men's basketball team led to a 94-84 win over in-state I-20 rival, ULM, on Friday evening in non-conference action.

THREE IN A ROW
Centenary is 3-1 in its first four contests played this season, having dropped its only game to Big East Marquette (85-62) in the season opener. The Gents are coming off of three wins over Grambling, Texas College, and ULM. This start marks the best start of any Centenary team since the 2001-02 season when the Gents recorded a 4-1 opening start. It is also the best winning percentage in head coach Greg Gary's short career.

MAKING MOST OUT OF EARLY START
Centenary fired off four career-high performances in the win over ULM (11-27-09) on Friday. Sophomore David Perez finished with a game-high 27 points on 8-of-20 from the floor, 2-of-7 from deep and 9-of-9 from the line for a career-best. Junior Roman Tubner contributed 23, sinking seven field goals and nine free throws for a two-year career high. Also chipping in with solid numbers was senior Jerrald Bonham, who had 17, his highest scored game since joining the team three years ago. He finished with a perfect 7-of-7 from the line, while freshman David Swartz poured in 12 in just 13 minutes of play.

BONHAM BLOCKS INTO BOOKS
Senior forward Jerrald Bonham is two blocks away from jumping into the record books. He currently has 45 blocks and needs 47 to break into the top 10 all time. The Plano, Texas native is coming off a 17-block season just last year and one against ULM, totaling five for the year thus far.

PEREZ PEFORMS AT LINE
Not only has sophomore David Perez scored at least 20-points in the first four games (Marquette-25), (Grambling-25), (Texas College-21), (ULM-27) this season, he is currently a perfect 25-of-25 from the free throw line, having shot the second most charity shots on the team behind Tubner with 24.

POINTS POUR IN AT 90
For the second game in a row, the Gents have scored at least 90 points in the contest. Centenary most recently tallied 94 against ULM, shooting its best percentage of the year of 49 percent (30-of-61) from the floor. The game before, the Gents poured in 95 against Texas College.

SWARTZ STEPS UP
Newcomer Swartz stepped up to score 12 points in just 13 minutes of play against ULM off the bench on Friday. The Huntington Beach, California native was 2-of-2 from deep and a perfect 5-of-5 from the field. Swartz also collected a steal, a block and one rebound during that game.

SCOUTING NSU
NSU enters Monday's contest with a 2-2 record with wins over ETBU and Houston Baptist and losses to Texas Tech and Indiana. The Demons last contest was Saturday at Indiana, falling 90-72. Devon Baker leads NSU with 15.0 ppg and an impressive 52 percent (13-of-25) from deep. Damon Jones chips in with 12.5 ppg, while William Mosley and Aramie Brooks pull down a team-high 4.8 rpg.

SERIES VS NSU
Centenary leads the all-time series against NSU, 83-70. This in-state matchup marks the most games played against any team in Gents basketball history. Monday's contest will be the 154th time these two teams have met on the hardwood since Centenary's opening season in 1921. The Gents and Demons played twice last season as NSU went on two win both contests. The most recent game ended in an 84-90 loss by Centenary in overtime in Natchitoches, La.

Next up for Centenary will be the Summit League opener on Thursday when Southern Utah comes to town for a 7:00 pm tip-off in the Gold Dome.
