LADIES LAST TIME OUT
While still looking for its first win this season, the Centenary women's basketball team battled Southeastern Louisiana on Saturday afternoon, but fell 65-43 to the Lions. The Ladies (0-6) played a much stronger second half, but an early 20-point deficit led to Centenary's sixth straight loss and fifth to a Louisiana school.

GOULD GOALS CAREER HIGH
Sophomore guard Quintesa Gould played 18 minutes against Southeastern Louisiana and recorded a career-high 11 points to lead the Ladies in offensive scoring. Off the bench, Gould was 4-of-7 from the field, including sinking 3-of-the Ladies 4 three point attempts. That game marked Gould's third contest to see action in all season.

FOREST TAKES OVER TOP SPOT
Senior Leslie Forest is now Centenary's all-time leader in blocks with 82 all time. In six games this season, Forest has tallied six blocks.

FARRELL ON BOARD
Farrell is working her way up the record books each game. The junior center has broken into the top three all-time. In her last game, Farrell tallied a team-high eight rebounds for 51 this season. With 465, she is 90 away from the second place spot with 555 by Zebber Satcher.

IN SEARCH OF FIRST ONE
The Ladies are in search of their first win this season when NSU comes to town, a bitter-sweet instate rivalry will continue as Centenary has played, now, its sixth school in Louisiana since the season opener. Currently at 0-6, the Ladies open conference play this weekend and are needing the first win.

SCOUTING NSU
NSU is coming into Tuesday's contest with a 3-3 overall record. Their most recent win came on Nov. 28 vs APSU in an 86-84 overtime win for the Lady Demons. The I-49 rivals have notched wins over Arkansas Monticello (85-61), LSU-Shreveport (73-58), and APSU, but have dropped contests to Southern (52-71), ULM (57-68), and N.C. State (67-76). Offensively, Brittiany Houston is leading NSU with 13.8 ppg. She is followed by Jessica McPhail with 11.0 ppg. On the boards is Sherrion Thomas with a team-high 7.3 a game. As a team, the Lady Demons are averaging 70.0 ppg and are shooting 39 percent (141-359) from the floor.

SERIES VS NSU
The series between Centenary and NSU is a 19-game history since the 1981 season. The Lady Demons hold a commanding 18-1 all-time series lead over the Ladies. The last meeting between the two teams was a year ago on Dec. 1, 2008 when NSU edged Centenary, 57-50 in Natchitoches. Ashley Jackson led the Ladies with 19 points, while Farrell pulled down 10 rebounds.

Following the Tuesday contest, Centenary will open Summit League play on Saturday when UMKC comes to town. The game will be played at 5:00 pm followed by the Gents game at 7:30 pm in the Gold Dome.
