LADIES LAST TIME OUT
SHREVEPORT-Junior Anne Farrell finished with a double-double of 11 points and 11 rebounds, but it wasn't enough as the Centenary women's basketball team fell to I-49 rival, NSU, 65-49 on Tuesday evening in the Gold Dome. Despite out rebounding the Lady Demons (48-31) by 17, the Ladies (0-7) weren't able to overcome a strong offensive second half by NSU (4-3), falling to 0-7 on the season.

OFFENSIVE HIGHLIGHTS
Farrell is pacing Centenary with 10.6 ppg, shooting 45 percent (35-71) from the floor, followed by Ashley Jackson with 8.7 ppg and a team-leading nine assists. Bethany Joseph has knocked down a team-high nine three pointers for 36 percent on the year to lead the Ladies from deep.

DEFENSIVE HIGHLIGHTS
Leading in rebounding is Farrell with 8.9 a game, while Jackson averages 7.1 a game. Jackson also paces Centenary with 10 blocks and 10 steals on the defensive end. Leslie Forest adds 3.3 rebounds a game and a total of eight blocks for Centenary this season.

FOREST TAKES OVER TOP SPOT
Senior Forest is now Centenary's all-time leader in blocks with 84 all time. In seven games this season, Forest has tallied eight blocks.

FARRELL ON BOARD
Farrell is working her way up the record books each game. The junior center has broken into the top three all-time. In her last game, Farrell tallied a team-high 11 rebounds for 62 this season. With 476, she is 79 away from the second place spot with 555 by Zebber Satcher.

TIME TO TRY SUMMIT
The Ladies are still searching for their first win of the season as they open Summit League play. Centenary has played six Louisiana schools and one Texas school to this point and will now try and make a run in the Summit beginning Saturday.

SCOUTING UMKC
UMKC enters Saturday's contest with 2-4 overall record, having dropped all four contests on the road this season. The last outing for the Kangaroos was in a 66-55 loss to SIU-Edwardsville on the road on Dec. 2. UMKC is averaging 61.2 ppg and pulling down 38.3 rebounds a game. Preseason Summit League Player of the Year Chazny Morris leads the Kangaroos in scoring with 17.8 ppg and rebounding with 5.2a game.

SERIES VS UMKC
UMKC holds the all-time series record at 11-1 over Centenary since 2004. The last meeting between the two teams came this past February when the Kangaroos defeated the Ladies, 44-74, in Kansas City. The two also met earlier last season at home, where UMKC beat Centenary, 66-58. The only Ladies win over the ‘Roos was dated back to January 28, 2006 in a 53-44 defeat of UMKC.

SCOUTING SOUTHERN UTAH
Southern Utah will play Oral Roberts on Saturday before playing Centenary on Monday. Before Summit League play begins, the Thunderbirds are 1-6 and 0-3 on the road this season. Southern Utah defeated Ohio, 56-53, at home on Dec. 1. The Thunderbirds are led by Chalis Pascucci with 9.3 ppg and 8.9 rpg. Chanel Thorley adds 9.1 ppg and 6.9 rpg.

SERIES VS SOUTHERN UTAH
Southern Utah leads the all-time series over Centenary, 8-4 since the 2004 season when they joined the league. The last meeting between the two teams came on Feb. 21 in a 68-84 loss by the Ladies at Southern Utah. Centenary also dropped a 59-37 contest at home to the Thunderbirds early last season.
