PREVIEW: Ladies at Nicholls

LADIES LAST TIME OUT
SHREVEPORT-Senior Bethany Joseph had a season-high 17 points, but a second-half surge by Southern Utah propelled the Thunderbirds to a 67-53 win over the Ladies on Monday evening in Summit League play. The Ladies (0-9, 0-2 Summit) led at the half, but couldn't find a way to trim late turnovers to overcome a late deficit.

JOSEPH DRAINS FIVE
Joseph was impressive on the offensive end of Monday night's contest against Southern Utah. The New Iberia, Louisiana native was 5-of-7 from behind the arch for a season-high 17 points. Joseph

TOO MANY TURNOVERS
The Ladies continue to struggle with offensive and defensive possession as they were forced into 31 turnovers on Monday evening. Centenary has totaled 252 to its opposition's 156 on the season.

OFFENSIVE HIGHLIGHTS
Junior Anne Farrell is currently the only Centenary player averaging in double figures with 10.7 ppg. Farrell also paces the team with a .465 shooting percentage (40-of-86) from the floor. Junior Ashley Jackson contributes with 9.2 ppg and a team-best 16 assists. Joseph leads the Ladies with 17-of-37 for a .459 3-PT shooting percentage.

DEFENSIVE HIGHLIGHTS
Defensively, the Ladies are allowing opponents to average 74.7 ppg, while only netting 46.1 points of their own. Jackson leads Centenary with 14 steals and 12 blocks, while Farrell has nine steals. Farrell and Jackson also lead in rebounding with 8.4 and 6.9 rpg respectively.

FARRELL ON BOARD
Farrell is working her way up the record books each game. The junior center has broken into the top three all-time. In her last game, Farrell tallied a team-high 6 rebounds for 68 this season. With 482, she is 73 away from the second place spot with 555 by Zebber Satcher.

FOREST TAKES OVER TOP SPOT
Senior Leslie Forest is now Centenary's all-time leader in blocks with 84 all time. In seven games this season, Forest has tallied eight blocks.

SCOUTING NICHOLLS STATE
Nicholls State holds a 1-5 overall record coming into Wednesday's matchup. The Colonels pulled off their only win against Texas Southern on Nov. 29 in a 57-52 win in Thibodaux. Nicholls' last contest was on Dec. 5 when South Alabama defeated the Colonels, 63-50 at home. Ricshanda Bickham paces the team with 18.2 ppg, while Alisha Allen chips in with 12.5 ppg. Cassie Hearon leads Nicholls with a team-high 5.8 rpg.

SERIES VS NICHOLLS
Nicholls and Centenary meet for just the eighth time in history. The Colonels hold a slight edge over the Ladies with a 4-3 all-time record. The last time these two teams met on the hardwood was on Dec. 10, 2008 of last season.
