The Ladies will travel south to face McNeese State on Saturday at 2:00 pm, before heading to Louisiana-Lafayette for a 2:00 pm contest on Monday against the Rajin' Cajuns.

LAST TIME OUT
THIBODAUX, La.-The Centenary women's basketball team couldn't pull off a win in a 56-46 fall to Nicholls State on Wednesday in non-conference play. The Ladies (0-10, 0-2 Summit) was searching for their first win of the season, but the Colonels played a much stronger second half to outlast Centenary by 10.

OFFENSIVE HIGHLIGHTS
Offensively, the Ladies are struggling, scoring just 46.1 points per game, while allowing 72.8 ppg. Centenary is shooting just .327 (165-505) from the floor and dishing off 9.7 assists. The key struggle for the Ladies is their 27.8 turnovers a game. Though 10 games, junior Anne Farrell is the only player scoring in double figures with 10.0 ppg. Senior Bethany Joseph and junior Ashley Jackson aren't far behind with 9.8 and 9.1 ppg respectively.

DEFENSIVE HIGHLIGHTS
Defensively, Centenary averages 6.1 blocks per game and pulls down 34.7 rebounds a contest. The Ladies have also tallied 33 blocks this season led by Jackson with 13. Farrell paces Centenary with a team-high 7.9 rpg, while Jackson contributes with 7.1 rpg and has a team-best 14 steals through 10 games.

STILL SEARCHING
Despite playing much better in its last two games, Centenary is still searching for its first win of the season. The Ladies are 0-5 at home and on the road and will battle six road opponents before returning to the Gold Dome.

BETHANY BEING BOLD
Joseph has led Centenary in scoring the last two games with 17 points in each game. The New Iberia, La. native shot 50 percent (6-of-12) from deep and dished out 10 assists over those two contests. Playing in just 8-of-the 10 games after battling an injury, Joseph has stepped up and improved her scoring average to 9.8 ppg and 18-42 (.429) from the 3-PT line.

TOUGH SECOND HALVES
In the most recent losses to Nicholls (12-9) and Southern Utah (12-7), the Ladies have led at the half. Centenary led by five 29-24 at half to the Colonels, but scored only 17 points in the final 20 minutes to fall by 10, 56-46 on the road. Up by two (31-29) at halftime against the Thunderbirds ended in a 22-point second-half performance and a 67-53 fall at home.

FARRELL ON BOARD
Farrell is working her way up the record books each game. The junior center has broken into the top three all-time. In her last game, Farrell tallied 3 rebounds for 79 this season. With 491, she is 64 away from the second place spot with 555 by Zebber Satcher.

FOREST TAKES OVER TOP SPOT
Senior Leslie Forest is now Centenary's all-time leader in blocks with 84 all time. In seven games this season, Forest has tallied eight blocks.

SCOUTING MCNEESE
The Cowgirls have a record of 3-6 on the season prior to meeting the Ladies. They dropped their most recent contest at Louisiana Tech, 61-94 on Wednesday. With a 2-3 tilt at home, McNeese is averaging 64.6 ppg and 42.2 rpg.

Kiara Johnson is leading McNeese with 15.8 ppg and 6.1 rpg. Candace LaCombe chips in with 15.0 ppg, while Kendra Wells adds 14.1 ppg and a team-high 7.8 rpg.

SERIES VS MCNEESE
McNeese and Centenary will meet for the 10th time in history since they first met back in the 1999-2000 season. The Cowgirls currently hold a 7-2 mark over the Ladies, having dropped Centenary in a 74-72 contest last season (Dec. 29, 2008) in the Gold Dome. Jackson had a double-double of 21 points and 12 rebounds, while Farrell added 14 points.

SCOUTING LOUISIANA-LAFAYETTE
Louisiana-Lafayette will play Florida Atlantic on Saturday at 2 pm before meeting Centenary on Monday in Lafayette. The Ragin' Cajuns hold a 3-7 record after taking a 86-76 win over Houston Baptist on Wednesday evening. ULL is 1-2 at home this season and is riding a one-game win streak.

The Ragin' Cajuns are averaging 64.6 ppg and pulling down 37.4 rebounds a contest. Mercedes Johnson is leading the team with 12.9 ppg and 5.1 rpg. Teammate Alexis Green chips in with 12.2 ppg and has a team-high 5.4 rpg, while Jasmine Barnes adds 10.0 ppg and 5.0 rpg to the mix.

SERIES VS LOUISIANA-LAFAYETTE
Monday's contest will mark the seventh time these two teams have met on the hardwood, dating back to 2000. Louisiana-Lafayette owns the series, 5-1. The Ladies earned their first win over the Sun Belt competitor last season when the Ladies dropped the Ragin' Cajuns 75-69 in Lafayette, LA. In that game, Jackson had 10 points, while Forest and Joseph led with eight and six rebounds respectively.

Following Centenary's contests with McNeese State and Louisiana-Lafayette, the Ladies will break for the Christmas holidays before returning on Tuesday, Dec. 29 at Ole Miss for a 4:30 pm contest.
