Centenary will travel south for an in-state battle at Louisiana-Lafayette on Monday at 7:05 pm in the Cajundome.

LAST TIME OUT
JACKSON, Miss.-The Centenary men's basketball team fell 88-51 to a strong SEC Mississippi State Bulldog team on Tuesday evening in non-conference action. The Gents fell to 4-7 on the season with the loss, while Mississippi State improved to 10-2.

OFFENSIVE HIGHLIGHTS
Offensively, the Gents are scoring 77.4 ppg, but are allowing 86.1 ppg from their opposition. Centenary is shooting 42 percent (277-656) from the floor and averaging 8.5 three-pointers a game. The team is dishing off 14.4 assists per game. Perez is leading the Gents with 19.4 ppg and 45-51 (.882) from the free throw line. Junior Roman Tubner is contributing with 12.3 ppg, while dishing off a team-high 43 assists. Starring is third in scoring with 10.3 ppg and second in assists with 28.

DEFENSIVE HIGHLIGHTS
Defensively, the Gents are holding their opponents to just 6.5 three-pointers made a ame. They are also out stealing their opposition with 8.7 steals per contest to just 7.7 by their opponents. Tubner leads with 21 steals, while Marseille follows with 16. Bonham paces Centenary with 5.0 rebounds a contest and 10 total blocks.

OFF THE BENCH
Freshmen Travis Sims, David Swartz and Leo Davis scored 17 points off the bench for Centenary in its 51-88 loss to Mississippi State. Sims saw action in just his fourth game all season, while chipping in with four points. He also pulled down three rebounds and a steal for a season-high. Swartz added eight in the loss, but garnered a block and an assist, while Davis knocked down a three and two free throws for five points in four minutes of play for a season and career high.

STEALING NOT A CRIME ON THE COURT
Centenary continues to out steal its opponents through the first 11 games. The Gents average 8.7 steals per game with a total of 96 on the season. They have managed to hold their opposition to 7.7 steals a game. Five Centenary players have double-figure steals on the season, led by Tubner with 21, followed by Marseille with 16. Perez has 14, while Starring and Nakwaasah each have 13 and 12 respectively.

BONHAM BLOCKS INTO BOOKS
Bonham secured ninth place on the all-time block list in the double-overtime loss to Louisiana Tech on Dec. 12. He currently has 50 blocks. The Plano, Texas native is coming off a 17-block season just last year and has totaled 10 blocks already this season. He is now striving to catch Lincoln Abrams and George Lett with 60.

SCOUTING LOUISIANA-LAFAYETTE
Louisiana-Lafayette enters Monday's contest with a 4-7 overall record and 1-0 in the Sun Belt. Their last outing was at Louisville, falling 69-84, last Wednesday. The Ragin' Cajuns are averaging 70.7 ppg and pulling down 31.5 rpg.

Tyren Johnson is pacing ULL with 15.1 ppg and 8.1 rpg. Teammate Chris Gradnigo chips in with 13.4, while Randall Daigle adds 11.8 to the mix.

SERIES VS LOUISIANA-LAFAYETTE
Centenary and Louisiana-Lafayette will meet for the 40th matchup all time. The Gents lead the series, 25-14 since the 1926 season. It hasn't been since the 2001-02 season when Centenary dropped a 62-77 decision in Lafayette, La.
