Ladies Show Well in Final Round, Take 14th

PRIMM, Nevada-The Centenary women's golf team finished in 14th place with a three-round score of 998 at the Jackrabbit Invitational hosted by South Dakota State on Tuesday afternoon.

The Ladies (338-334-326) trimmed 12 strokes off their first round score, but still remained 106 shots behind tournament winner and Summit League foe, Oral Roberts (291-309-292, 892).

Centenary was led by Jessica Marquart (80-80-77) with a score of 237 for a tie for 41st. The senior finished 24 shots out of the lead as Drake's Olivia Lansing (72-70-71) captured first with a 213, a -3 under par.

Freshmen Kyndal Rose (83-83-82, 248) and Claire Whitis (82-84-84, 250) tied for 67th and 69th, respectively. Classmates Justine Kemp (93-96-83, 272) and Rachel Grinnell (93-87-93, 273) tied for 86th and placed 88th.

Behind Oral Roberts in team standings was Missouri State (303-296-295, 894) in second, while Drake (297-305-294, 896) rounded out the top three.

Centenary will return to play on April 5-6 at the Houston Baptist Invitational.
