Mizzou Too Much For Ladies

COLUMBIA, Missouri-The Missouri gymnastics team proved to be too much for the Centenary squad as the Ladies fell 196.300-183.075 on Sunday afternoon in non-conference action.

Centenary got two solid performances from senior Whitney Daugherty as she led the Ladies on the Vault and Floor routines. Daugherty scored a team-best 9.625 on the Vault and a 9.700 on the Floor.

Junior Makensie Lant paced Centenary with a 9.550 on the Bars and freshman Jessica Lieblich finished with a 9.250 for the Ladies on the Beam.

Sophomore Melody Smith was one of two Ladies to compete as an All-Arounder, earning a 35.450, while junior Marisa Schneider earned a score of 33.925.

Missouri Sarah Shire placed first as an All-Arounder with a 39.600.

Centenary will return to action on March 27 at the MIC Conference Championship beginning at 6:00 pm at TWU.
