SHREVEPORT-Centenary College and Associate Head Softball Coach Mark Lambert are proud to announce that Lynsi Unruh has formally accepted the institution's offer of admission and will be joining the Ladies softball team next season.

Unruh is a native of Houston, Texas and will graduate this May from Langham Creek High School.

Under the direction of high school coach Michele Biffle, Unruh was a three-year letter winner and right-handed pitcher for the Lobos softball team.

Away from high school, Unruh played club softball with the CF Texas Starz Black for one year for coach Monroe Peters.

In the classroom, she excelled as a member of the Spanish National Honor Society and maintained an impressive 6.0 GPA.

She is the daughter of Phil Unruh and Lisa Posey and plans on majoring in Biology at Centenary in hopes of becoming a physical therapist.

Unruh is the first to formally accept the offer to join the Ladies program next season under the guidance of Lambert.

"Lynsi is a great kid and a hard worker, and will be a great addition to our program," said Lambert.
