Gents Tennis Opens Summit League Play

SHREVEPORT-The Centenary men's tennis team will open its first cluster of Summit League play this weekend when the Gents travel to Macomb, Illinois to take on Western Illinois at 2 pm CT on Saturday and South Dakota State at 2 pm CT on Sunday.

Centenary has recorded a 2-3 record on the season and is looking to return to winning ways after dropping its last contest to UT-Tyler, 9-0. The Gents have posted wins over University of the Ozarks (5-1) and LeTourneau (6-1) this season.

Looking to compete in singles action for Centenary is Jonathan Threadgill, Micah Threadgill, Garrett Whipple, Sam Grace, Evan Magill and Michael Reeks.

Teaming up for doubles play are the Threadgill brothers, Magill/Whipple, and Reeks/Grace.

Following the Summit League cluster, Centenary will take on LeTourneau on Saturday, April 2 in Longview, Texas at 2 pm.
