Gents Tennis Drops 7-0 Contest to IPFW

FORT WAYNE, Ind.-The Centenary men's tennis team opened the final Summit League cluster, falling 7-0 on Friday afternoon to IPFW.

The Gents fell to 3-6 on the season and 0-3 against league opponents.

Centenary was defeated in all six singles matches and all three doubles matches, despite seeing several close sets.

Jonathan Threadgill (6-2, 6-1), Micah Threadgill (6-4, 6-4), Garrett Whipple (6-0, 6-2), Sam Grace (6-4, 6-4), Michael Reeks (6-1, 6-1), and Evan Magill (6-0, 6-4) each fell in their respective singles matches.

In doubles play, the Threadgill brothers teamed up, but fell 8-6, while Whipple/Magill were defeated 8-4 and Grace/Reeks dropped their match, 8-3.

Centenary will return to action on Saturday when it meets UMKC at 10 am and Oral Roberts at 2 pm in Fort Wayne, Ind.
