Ladies Golf in Sixth After Opening Round

LONGVIEW, Texas-The Centenary women's golf team fired a team total of 334 to sit in sixth place at LeTourneau's Spring Classic on Monday at Pinecrest Country Club.  

The Ladies were led by sophomores Rachel Grinnell and Kyndal Rose, each totaling 82 in the first 18 holes. The duo is currently tied for 11th overall heading into Tuesday's final round. Classmate Justine Kemp and freshman Sarah Bradshaw each shot an 85 and are tied for 21st, while freshman Kylee Goldthorn fired a 92 is in 41st.

Centenary is 20 shots out of the lead, which is held by Northwood University (314), followed by Texarkana College (327) in second and Tyler Junior College (329) in third.

Individually, TJC's Jacki Marshall's 72 leads the field.

The tournament will conclude with one round on Tuesday.
