PREVIEW: Softball Set for Single Game at No. 19 UL-Lafayette

SHREVEPORT-The Centenary softball team will travel to No. 19 Louisiana-Lafayette on Wednesday for a single game set at 6 pm in Lafayette, La.

The Ladies (4-25) are coming off a three-game series against Summit League foe, UMKC, where the Kangaroos took all three games from Centenary.

Senior Bonnie Matak is leading the Ladies' offense with a .311 average, a team-best 19 hits and three home runs. Freshman Chandelle Scott is posting a .250 clip, while junior Kalyn Harris has upped her average to .234 and leads the team with 13 RBI.

Freshman pitcher Lynsi Unruh is tossing a team-low 6.52 ERA and holds a 2-6 record through 69.0 innings pitched. Senior Lauren Highsmith is 2-18 on the year with a 10.17 ERA with a team-best 92.0 innings pitched.

A LOOK AT UL-LAFAYETTE
UL-Lafayette enters Wednesday's game ranked No. 19 in the recent NFCA poll and holds a record of 32-6 overall and 16-1 at home.

The Ragin' Cajuns are led by Chrisi Orgeron's .440 average, 55 hits and 60 RBI. Gabriele Bridges follows with a .435 clip.

ULL's ace Ashley Brignac is 18-3 on the year and holds a miniscule 1.34 ERA through 130.2 innings pitched.

SERIES HISTORY
Centenary and ULL will meet for the 41st time in the school's history. The Ragin' Cajuns are 39-1 all-time over the Ladies.

WHAT'S NEXT
Centenary will return home to host IPFW on Friday and Saturday in Summit League action. Game times are set for a double-header at 4 pm/6 pm on Friday and a single game on Saturday at Noon. Saturday will mark the Ladies' senior day prior to the first pitch.
