SHREVEPORT-The Centenary men's and women's golf teams are set to begin Summit League play on Monday and Tuesday at Primm Valley Golf Club in Primm, Nevada. The 54-hole event is scheduled for 10 am CT tee-offs each day.

The Ladies will tee-off from the Lakes Course, while the Gents tee off from the Desert Course.

Representing the Ladies this coming week will be sophomores Kyndal Rose, Rachel Grinnell, Justine Kemp and freshmen Sarah Bradshaw and Kylee Goldthorn.

Rose has paced the Ladies all season with a team-low 81.57 stroke average. In 21 rounds, Rose has notched a sixth place finish and recorded a season-low 74. Following Rose in scoring is Kemp with an 85.25 average, while Grinnell is close behind with an 85.67.

Bradshaw is averaging an 87.71 in her debut season, while Goldthorn's 95.43 rounds out the Ladies averages.

"The Ladies have been quietly producing some good results the last few weeks with a 3rd place finish in our home tournament and a 4th place finish last week in Longview. Again, consistency throughout the five-team members is the key and if that happens, a good finish is in order for the girls as well," said head coach Emlyn Aubrey.

Representing the Gents this coming week will be seniors Greg Berthelot, Ryan Sparks, Cannon Earp, sophomore Jay Frazier and junior Kyle Mehnert.

Berthelot's 74.05 average ranks him fifth among Summit League golfers/ Through 22 rounds, Berthelot has recorded a first-place tournament victory, which came at Centenary's Hal Sutton Intercollegiate where he fired a season-low 67 in the final round to capture the victory.

Sparks averages a 77.50, while Earp follows with a 78.86. Both seniors have recorded a season-best 70. Frazier is fourth-best on the team in stroke average with an 83.86, while Mehnert joined the team late, competing in just nine rounds for a 104.78 average.

"We are just working hard and trying to be as prepared as possible. We are looking to overcome some adversity on the men's team and if we can find that consistency throughout the squad, we will be in good shape," said Aubrey.

Live scoring will be available on and results will be posted at the conclusion of each day.
