ELMHURST, Ill.-Senior Greg Berthelot represents the Centenary men's golf team as a First Team All-Summit League selection, announced Friday afternoon.

Berthelot, a native of Baton Rouge, La has compiled an impressive career as a four-year member of the Gents golf team. The senior ranks fifth in Summit League standings with a team-low 74.05 stroke average through 22 rounds this season.

The highlight of the year came when he captured first place in Centenary's Hal Sutton Intercollegiate after firing a final round of 67 to finish 3-under par for the tournament. Berthelot had four Top 5 finishes this season.

To open the season, Berthelot fired a 5-under par 139 over two rounds with scores of 70 and 69 at Delta State's Invitational to finish in a tie for fourth place. He then wrapped up the season at LeTourneau's Spring Classic with a third-place finish and a final round of 72.

"A great accomplishment. He has been fairly consistent throughout his career here and this is a great reward for that. Greg sets his goals high and with his length and the thin air in Nevada , Primm Valley Golf Club sets up well for him. Definitely look for him to contend this week at the conference championships," said head coach Emlyn Aubrey.

Berthelot was one of five selected to the Summit League First-Team. He joined Michael Corriasso and Jakob Ziegler of Oakland, Ben Engle of IUPUI, and Jeff Evans of Southern Utah.

Representing the men's Second Team All-League team was Michael Davan and Michael Powell of IUPUI, Phil Giesker of Oakland, Korbin Kuehn and Viktor Mikaelsson of UMKC.

Berthelot and Centenary will look to wrap up a successful season as it heads to the Summit League Championships in Primm, Nevada on April 18-19.
