Gymnastics Lands Knighten for 2011-12

SHREVEPORT-Centenary College and head gymnastics coach Gretchen Goerlitz are pleased to announce that Leviticus Knighten has accepted the institution's offer of admission and will join the Ladies gymnastics team during the 2011-12 season.

Knighten hails from Fort Meyers, Florida and will graduate from Gateway Charter High. She earned three varsity letters, two in cross-country and one in cheerleading at her high school.

A 15-year member of Coast Elite Gymnastics Academy, Knighten was directed by Dave Zwiefelhofer and received national accolades during that time. Knighten was named Level 10 All-Around champion, Level 9 National Balance Beam champion and was a member of the Level 9 National Qualifying Team champion. Knighten is currently ranked 30th nationally on Floor exercise.

Knighten has posted high scores of:
All-Around: 36.625
Vault: 9.4
Bars: 9.15
Beam: 9.50
Floor: 9.75

Away from the gym, Knighten has held class offices including sophomore and senior class treasurer. She has plans on majoring in Communication from Centenary.
