Ladies in Ninth After Day 1 of League Championships

PRIMM, Nevada-The Centenary women's golf team sits in ninth place with a two-round total of 711 at The Summit League Championships on Monday at Primm Valley Golf Club.

The Ladies fired rounds of 354 and 357 to remain 24 shots better than IPFW in 10th place. Centenary finished Day 1 143 shots over par and 91 shots behind current leader, Oral Roberts.

Sophomore Kyndal Rose leads the Ladies through 36 holes after totaling 167 with rounds of 84 and 83 on Monday. Rose is tied for 27th and her 27 shots over par are 20 shots out of the lead heading into the final round on Tuesday.

Classmate Rachel Grinnell (88-86) is tied for tied for 39th place with a total of 174. Sophomore Justine Kemp sits in 40th with back-to-back rounds of 90 for a 180 total. Also in action for Centenary are freshmen Sarah Bradshaw (95-98, 193) and Kylee Goldthorn (92-101, 193), both of which are tied for 49th.

Oral Roberts (313-307) paces the field in first with a 52-over par 620 total. Behind the Golden Eagles is Oakland (317-313, 630) in second and Western Illinois (315-320, 635) in third.

There is currently a three-way tie for first place as NDSU's Amy Anderson, ORU's Tiffany Robbins and Oakland's Mara Kovac with totals of 149.

The Summit League Championships will wrap up on Tuesday with a final round beginning at 10 am CT.
