RJ Talamantes leads the team in hits with 39 and is the league's leader in stolen bases with 26, while hitting .333. Pete Rajkovich and Marc Martinez have showed well of late, hitting .316 and .309 on the year, respectively. Junior Kyle Morton leads the team with 19 RBI and four home runs.

Freshman JoAnthony Cantu had a strong showing last weekend, posting a 4-for-5 effort with two doubles in Game 2 to up his average to .300 on the year.

On the bump, freshman Nic Parrott (1-1, 4.80), senior Derek Dalzell (2-5, 5.40) and junior Seth Lugo (2-5, 7.12) all got starts last weekend as Dalzell picked up the win in the second game. Out of the pen, sophomore Kelby Langston posts the most appearances with 13 and holds the team's lowest ERA at 3.86.

Southern Utah is 18-24 on the year and 6-10 in Summit League play. The Thunderbirds have dropped four of their last six contests, including three to Western Illinois in Cedar City, Utah. Bo Cuthbertson leads the team in offense with a .450 average, 67 hits and 39 RBI.

On the bump, the Thunderbirds have relied on James Crockett with 11 game starts. He holds a 4-6 record and a 5.55 ERA through 60.0 innings pitched.

Centenary and Southern Utah will meet for the 31st time as the Thunderbirds hold a slight lead at 13-17 over the Gents all-time. Last year, Centenary won the four-game series in Cedar City, Utah, 3-1.
