32 Student-Athletes Receive Diplomas at Commencement

SHREVEPORT-Centenary student-athletes represented the institution well on Saturday when 32 Ladies and Gents earned their degrees at the Centenary College commencement ceremony in the Gold Dome.

Of the 157 undergraduates who were honored, 32 were members of an elite group as athletes. The recognized 32 represented cross country, men's soccer, women's soccer, swimming, softball, women's basketball, baseball, men's golf, volleyball, women's golf, and gymnastics.

Zac Farrar (men's soccer) was the only student-athlete receiving Summa Cum Laude (3.9 or higher GPA) honors, while Lauren Kloepfer (swimming) and Emily McManus (women's soccer) earned Magna Cum Laude (3.7 to 3.89 GPA) honors.

Catie Depew (women's soccer), Cannon Earp (men's golf), Micah Goodwin (men's soccer), Lauren Highsmith (softball), Jessica Marquart (women's golf, cross country) and Ryan Sparks (men's golf) also earned honored degrees with Cum Laude (3.5 to 3.69 GPA) recognition.

Also receiving their degrees were John Cefalu (swimming) with departmental honors, Ashley Jackson (women's basketball), Natasa Draganic (women's basketball), Whitney Daugherty (gymnastics), Ian Osteen (men's soccer), Michaela Berg (women's basketball, volleyball), Greg Berthelot (men's golf), Matt Blam (swimming), Kortney Causey (women's soccer), Jeff Ericson (baseball), Anne Farrell (women's basketball), Matt Harris (swimming), Dragan Hinic (men's soccer), Laura Loy (gymnastics), Bonnie Matak (softball), Aaron Otto (swimming), Josh Pena (swimming), Erika Rautio (women's soccer), Tara Sandoval (gymnastics), Alli Shepperd (softball), Ryan Sparks (men's golf), Michael Tompkins (baseball), and Rennie Walker (men's soccer).
