TAMPA, Fla.-With the summer well underway and the new chapter of Centenary Athletics just around the corner, new Director of Athletics Dr. William Broussard and Assistant Athletic Director Adam Walsh represented Centenary at the 2011 NCAA Regional Rules Seminar in Tampa, Fla. this past week.

The administrative duo joined athletic administrators from across the NCAA's membership and took part in several Division III-focused workshops, which consisted of compliance, recruiting, awards and benefits, waivers and general eligibility.

"The week-long experience of reviewing rules legislation, best practices for department leadership and meeting facilitation were an education onto itself," said Broussard, after returning from the seminar.

He added that he was "excited about his new colleagues in Division III," and looks forward to continuing to guide Centenary Athletics through the final phases of its transition to Division III.

"This year's seminar provided an opportunity for us to truly get focused in on Division III as we take our next step in our transition," said Walsh.

Centenary will compete as the newest member of the American Southwest Conference beginning this fall.
